Luna by Lisa Jordan: Yay or Nay | Beauty Review

Launched by the lovely Lisa Jordan in late 2017, Luna has taken Ireland by storm ever since. Every chemist I go to stocks Luna and the mere mention of the brand will send people into discussions on hair treatments and lipgloss. The question though, is Luna worth the hype?

Leave In Hair Treatment

So fun fact about me: I bleached, dyed and straighted my hair all the time from the age of thirteen and only stopped all this at nineteen. All of this damage ruined my hair and killed my natural curls. So when I borrowed my mam's bottle of the Leave In Treatment, I was in awe. My hair look shiny, felt so soft and my curls were back and bouncier then ever! I bought my own bottle the next day and I'll never be without this treatment again.

Pearl And Glow Palette

This face palette has your contour, blush, highlight and eyelight. I'm going to break this down by each pan, cool?
  • Gemstone: Lisa describes this as a contour but on my fair skin, I prefer it as a bronzer . I find this very soft, blendable and looks really natural. Bonus: Looks fab in the crease as a shadow!
  • Moonstone: Oh this is the cutest blush! This peachy pinky shimmer just does everything for me. It brightens the face up and adds the perfect amount of sheen to the face.
  • Diamond: If you want a glow from the heavens, then you'll love this  highlighter. There's a glitter over spray on it but use it once and that's gone. Jesus, it's such a buttery smooth formula from that moment on.
  • Crystal: Ah, the "eyelight". Did I giggle when I first heard of it? Yes. Do I think it's amazing? Also yes. Basically a brow bone and inner corner highlight, it does the job beautifully. Eyes look brighter, bigger and more awake.
Ten out of ten, go buy this palette right now. You will not regret it.

Lipstick And Pencil Duo in Ruby Flame

Lip kits are everywhere, at every budget. At €19, Luna's Ruby Flame is so worth it. This is an orange toned red and it's everything. The pencil is soft but firm and glides the colour on like a dream. The matching lipstick is a matte formula but isn't drying at all. It doesn't drag when applied either, a usual complain of mine with traditional matte lipsticks. I wore this on a night out and it lasted a good few hours. It definitely faded throughout the night but did so gracefully. There's three other shades available and I plan to snap them all up.

And here is all products mentioned above in use. And a quick note, I have Gemstone in my crease and it is beautiful.

So overall, I really love Luna by Lisa Jordan. Not one product I've used from this brand has disappointed and that's a rarity. I can't wait to try out more, I've a lipgloss kit on my radar next. If you're looking for a new brand or product to pick up, you can't go wrong with Luna. So tell me, have you tried Luna? And if so, what's you're favourite product?
