My Top Three Mascaras | Makeup Review

When it comes to mascara, I'm very picky. I find mascara just as personal as foundation. Where one person wants natural, fluttery lashes, another wants full on volume and curl. Finding your holy grail mascara can be a pain but I've found three that light up life. Just so you know, my lashes are pretty standard volume and length, quite dark and have a natural little curl to them. Depending on the day, I want a different look but I always look for length. These three mascaras are very different to each other but I use all of them regularly. So with all that in mind, let's get in to it.

Beauty Bakerie Eyelash Icing Waterproof Mascara

I've only been using the Icing Mascara for a couple weeks but I already love it. An hourglass shaped, fiber wand and lash-extending fibers make for some beautiful lashes. This is definitely the natural girls mascara though, not one ounce of volume from this mascara.

That said if you want super long, defined lashes, this might be the one for you. I've never used a waterproof formula before but Icing has amazing lasting power and no smudging and I assume that's why. This is my go to everyday, work mascara.

Here it is on one eye to show the difference:

L’Oreal Paris Miss Baby Roll Mascara

I have never repurchased a mascara in my life until Miss Baby Roll. This mascara is the opposite of Icing Mascara. It's volume, curl and drama central with this one. The curl is fantastic with this one. As I mention, my lashes have a natural curl but I've this is something else. I've never seen a wand quite like this one, it's really short, stubby, plastic bristles that go up in a spiral. I believe L'Oreal say it's to mimic a hair roller, which I kinda see.

Regardless, it's a fab brush. It grips and coats every single lash. I tend to use this more for Instagram looks or nights out as I personally find it a bit much for my everyday look and can smudge on my glasses. If you're all about the volume, go for Miss Baby Roll.

Again, mascara on one eye:

Dior Addict It-Lash Mascara

It-Lash is beautiful, absolutely beautiful. A good amount of volume, amazing length and lasts like a dream. It's a plastic wand with a mixture of long and short bristles. There's also a bunch of short spiky bristles one the end of the wand. The spikies can be a little painful, not They're Real levels but still, something to note.

The curl is pretty good with this one too. I got It-Lash as a gift from my mam and once my obsession set in, I looked up the price. I nearly vomited, €35 for a mascara! It's so expensive. I really do think it's a great product but I admit the price is steep. I will definitely pick up another one but probably as a birthday treat or something. If you can afford it, I'd recommend it.

Once more, one eye for the difference:

So there we have it, three mascaras that I love and swear by. Let me know, have you tried out any of these mascaras? If so, what are your thoughts? And if not, what's your holy grail? I'm always looking to try new products so I'd love to know. Thanks for reading.
