Pink Glitter Tears | Makeup Look

I recently posted this look to Insta and asked if ye would like a post on how I did it. After a resounding yes, this post came to be. This look is based off Bella Anselmo style (Check out her Instagram) and I picked a pink theme because it was a Wednesday and I was thinking about Mean Girls.

Base

I used my Penneys and Alex Steinherr Pollution Solution Daily Skin Starter as a primer. I find my skin always looks super smooth when I use this, must be the good ol' lactic acid at work. I popped some Carter Beauty Get Lit on the high points of my face as a first highlight. I wanted to glow so I padded a powder later. Milani's Conceal+Perfect Foundation was next, I love a high coverage foundation for creative looks and this stuff feels and looks amazing. Barry M All Night Long Concealer, under the eyes, around the nose and on my red patches.

I set everything in place with a bit of Revolution's Lace Baking Powder. I dust it all over the face though, I've never baked in my life. Contour and Bronzer are both from bBold's Contour Palette, a product I can't live without. Bitta Luminoso from Milani to rosy up the cheeks and we're on to highlight number two.

Nyx's Love You So Mochi in Arcade Glam was my glow of choice for two reasons. 1: It has a beautiful pink toned highlight to tie the pink throughout the whole look together. 2: It has a fun squishy texture and I enjoy poking it (See fingerprints in picture above).

Eyes

Brows, super simple, super easy to do. Nyx Tinted Brow Mascara, use this to brush the hairs up and over. That's it, I wanted them natural and a little messy so nothing else was needed.

Now the eyes. I started by taking Cherry from the Hey Honey palette and ran it through my crease and up towards my brow bone using a giant fluffy brush. This is our blending shade, keep this friend close to hand, she's a lifesaver.

Next I took the matte pink shade circled above from the BH Cosmetics Take Me Back To Brazil palette. I took it through the crease and into the inner and outer corners with a regular sized fluffy brush. I also messily ran this under the eye.

Taking a slightly darker pink, I repeated the steps above, just on a smaller radius. I used yet another fluffy brush but a bit smaller, are you seeing a pattern here? I also took the previous pink (Jesus, I wish all shades had names) to blend out the edges.

Now take the darkest pink on a bullet brush and blend that into just the inner and outer corners and again used the the middle tier pink to blend that out. I also took this roughly along the lower lashline.

I put some of  Nyx's Glitter Primer on the center of my lid. I use my finger but if you prefer brushes then go mad. I used Barry M's Glitter Rush in Angel Wings, which is a lovely pinky orange coloured glitter, over the glitter primer for a snazzy halo-ish eye. Now pop some more glitter primer in the inner corner and under your eyes.

Now for my favourite bit, the chunky glitter. I used Pink Diamond from Skinny Dip. Please be careful using this kind of glitter though. While cosmetic glitter is safe for facial use, this chunky stuff is still a bit risky. Don't apply it in areas like the crease, where they risk cutting the skin. Anyway take this Pink Diamond and using a brush apply it to the inner corner (Carefully) and down under the eyes. Remember that picture of the girl covering her dark circles with glitter? Embrace that for this step.

Whack on some mascara, I used Essence's The False Lashes because it was close to hand honestly. It's a grand mascara but nothing special, I actually think it's discontinued. Looking back I wished I wore some lashes but I didn't so oops.

Lips

So I first applied Soap And Glory's Sexy Mother Pucker in Plums Up to plump up the lips. Spectaculips Matteallic in Pink Charming was up next but I thought it needed more so popped some pink shadow from the Brazil palette. I still wasn't feeling it Spectaculips Galactic Glaze in Starship Silver and I finally liked how it looked.

And that's the whole look! I really hoped ye enjoyed this, I had a lot of fun writing all this out. Though I do think some progress pictures would of helped so I'll know that for next time. Do ye like this look? Did ye learn anything from this? Let me know, I love hearing feedback from you all.
